Click, click goes the clockwork.

During the night, after most of the camp is asleep, sounds of 'clicking' and 'whirring' can be heard coming from the forest. Judging by the gradual increase in volume, one could easily deduce the souce of the sound is moving toward the camp.

As you approach the jungle's edge one by one the trees fill with red lights.
From the top of a tree a single metal spider with a glowing red eye, lowers itself to the ground.

The spider then walks in a winding path, eye moving all the time until it is withing ten feet of Alexandia.

The mandibles move about in a rhythmic pattern making a series of clicks and whirrs, the eye also seems to brighten and dim in a series of waves.

EDIT: The spider, in the pose shown is approximately 2 feet from leg to leg. You can guess that splayed out it would be about 3 1/2 - 4 feet.

Evlin sighs and rolls her eyes as she gives Alexandria her phone preemptively. Other wise she stands to the right side of the meeting party with her right side to the forest and left side to the camp keeping guard.

The spider waits until everyone has come to their chosen spot, then turns to Alexandria and makes a series of noises for about 20 seconds, then goes silent, save the quiet hum of it's inner mechanics.

The spider makes another 5 second series of noises, then it seems to shut down.

The light turns back on after a moment and it makes a few chittering noises at Alexandria.

The spider makes a series of clicking noises then the pattern in it's eye is mirrored by a multitude of red lights in the trees. Duplicates of the mechanical spider begin to flood from the trees and head toward the camp.

The spiders begin to make their way around climbing under the salvaged items and over the huts, the usually dim red lights become a thin bright fan that waves over everything as the units pass by. A few units make their way into the huts, but their movements slow and the scanners dim, but not by much.

Jakob watches the spiders swarming over the camp area from Alexandria's side... He keeps his hand on his flute at all times during the survey, ready to stop any aggression from either side..

After a few minutes the spiders spread out from the camp and begin scanning the outlying areas.

Once the entire camp has been swept the spiders make their way down the beach to the south continuing their sweeps.

The spider by Alexandria looks toward her and makes a series of noises ending on an upward tone.

Alexandria pauses and turns around. "My packmate's phone, accessed earlier? Mine was dismantled prior to the blast." She turns and nods at Evlin before turning back and holding the phone out to #S1314.

The spider takes the phone and inserts it into it's 'mouth', the screen goes black. After a fer seconds, the spider returns the phone. When the screen turns back on the apple logo is replaced with this: http://bit.ly/n9uoed
The spider makes a 5 second long string of sounds to Alexandria

The spider speaks a six second series of monotone chirps then turns and scuttles toward the nearest tree, shoots a web, climbs and disappears into the night.

Evlin turns off the phone to save battery life and puts it away.
